Tencel is produced by solvent spinning technology. Because the amine oxide
solvent used in the production is completely harmless to the human body, it is
almost completely recyclable, can be used repeatedly, and has no by-products.
Tencel fiber can be completely decomposed in the soil, no pollution to the
environment, no harm to the ecology, it is an environmentally friendly fiber.
Tencel is a solvent-based cellulose fiber, which was developed by a British
company for ten years and was not commercially applied until the 1990s. It is a
typical green fiber.
Its environmental protection features: the raw material comes from wood,
which can be continuously regenerated naturally, the wood is made into wood
pulp, and the (NMMO) spinning process is adopted, and the wood pulp is dissolved
in ammonium oxide solvent and directly spun, which is completely completed under
physical action. Recycling, the recovery rate is more than 99%.
Tencel is non-toxic and non-polluting, and Tencel products can be
biochemically degraded after use, and will not cause pollution to the
environment. Therefore, it is called "21st Century Green Fiber" and has obtained
the international green environmental protection certificate.
Tencel, also known as Lyocell fiber, is also called Tencel fiber. It is
mixed with conifer-based wood pulp, water and solvent amine oxide, heated to
complete dissolution, and will not produce any derivatives and chemical effects
during the dissolution process. It is directly spun after removing impurities,
and its molecular structure is a simple carbohydrate.
Basic performance
1. High dry and wet strength.
2. The stress-strain characteristic of Tencel is that it has a large
cohesion with cellulose fibers and is easier to blend.
Tencel fiber
3. The fabric shrinkage rate is very low.
4. The high wall degree is suitable for the manufacture of superfine
fibers.
5. Tencel fabrics can be processed by traditional cellulose fiber
pretreatment, bleaching and dyeing processes.
6. Tencel fiber&39;s circular cross-section and good longitudinal appearance
make Tencel fabrics have silky luster, excellent hand and drape, and the
clothing has an elegant feeling.
7. Tencel has the characteristics of fibrillation. Through the control of
fibrillation, it can be made into fabrics with various surface effects such as
peach skin, sand washing, velvet, etc., forming a new aesthetic feeling,
suitable for developing trendy products with new thin strips and optical
variability.
